Could there be a "Suggestion Box" page for ideas/requests? For example, I'm not sure if there is a kind of "table of contents" page somewhere that has links to all the different fabellae in the different lectiones. I wanted to leap right into the fabella secunda for lectio prima, and I am not quite sure how to do that except by paging through the forward navigation starting from the first page of Lectio Prima. :-)

Yes, we have now put Suggestion Boxes on every page of the site. We'll also be creating a "Forum" for suggestions and comments — that's the feature that we will also use for the Virtual Seminars. Thanks for the great suggestion!

this is quite cool but you might want to make it a bit clearer or easier to get to different links redface lol aella x

Yes, we will certainly be working on making the site easier to navigate! We'll put more links on each story page, including one back to the Table of Contents and ones to stories that are related. We'd also love to hear your ideas for organizing the site better!

razz''The website is really awesome i love it but you need to change colour of the pictures and text and more bright colours too but other than that i like it ''

i thnk latin is cool rolleyes

okaii,
i think that the colors are a bit glareish and strong
tone down the colours please and make them lighter.Dont make it too faint but mabie do the background pale and make the writing dark
thank you
Katie xxxxxx

Katie,
We are thinking about giving users and subscribers, like you, the ability to choose their own colour scheme. Personally, I like the blue, but I know it's not for everybody! Would that help? Or would you spend so much time changing colours that you didn't have time to read and listen to the stories? :-)

hi

the colours are a bit dark maybe they could be a bit lighter

Would you like to be able to choose your own set of colours for the site? It would be fairly easy for us to allow subscribers (like you) to choose different colour schemes. Or do you think it would be distracting to have too many choices?

i think there should be a suggestion box because it would be good for you to know what to improveredfaceaella xx

We agree! We're also going to be creating a "Forum" where you can make suggestions about the site in general, or about stories that we should add ... or that you should create and add!:-)

mabie make the writing bigger coz i cant read it very well and it is not just coz i have glasses my friends say it to xx
Katie xx

Katie,
We can certainly make the font size bigger if you all would like that! But you should be able to make it bigger yourself, too. If you're using Internet Explorer, just click View - Text Size, then choose Larger or Largest. In Firefox on a PC, you can do View - Text Size - Increase, or just hit Control-+. On a Mac, for Safari or Firefox, just hit Command-+.

Lots of people don't know about this trick, but it's a big help for my eyes ... which aren't as young as they used to be! :-)

i love the website

Thank you! We're really glad you love it! What is your favorite part? :-)

i like the website

Thank you! We're glad you like it, and we hope you'll like the new things that we'll be adding in the next few weeks, too. :-)

This website is ok its a bit confusing though

We're sorry that the site was confusing to you! :-( What could we do to make it less confusing?

I like the blue on your webpage, it makes the backgroung almost sweeter rather than just plain white.

Glad you like the colors! :-)

mrgreenI think you could add more pictures

Yes, we're planning to have a picture for every paragraph of every story. Some will be made by our amazing illustrator, but some will come from subscribers like you! biggrin So, if there's a story you want to illustrate, please go ahead!

mrgreen the site is cool but its hard to find places and because its for children i think it should be easy to get tp places.

Thanks for the suggestion! What, specifically, would you want us to do to make it easier to navigate? We've thought about having
  • more links from each page
  • more details in the Table of Contents
  • and other things like that ... but you are the experts when it comes to really making it useful!

i think you need more picturesbiggrin(:wink:razz)((:smile:cool))

We agree! And we'd like to invite you to create some of them, if you'd like! :-)

I think this is a good website with well done pages, but I also think that instead of everything in latin having it in latin and then english, and clearer pictures.biggrinsmilerazz

Thank you! We're actually committed to having everything in Latin, because we want our participants and subscribers to be able to understand Latin as Latin, without having to translate it into English. Of course you can translate it if you'd like, and you may need to do translations on exams and such ... but we want you to be able to understand before you translate, not have to translate in order to understand. Does that make sense?

I love this site, but i feel the layout should be a bit better. The colour skeme should be brighter and the writing should be bolder and more spaced out

Thankyou Flavia 7M x cool

Flavia,
Thanks for the compliments and the great suggestions! We're not done with the layout ... not done at all! In fact, we are seriously considering giving our subscribers (like you) the ability to choose their own preferred styles, colors, and such. Also, in Version Beta of the site (coming on line this summer), we'll make some changes to the text layout so it's more spaced out and so the default font is larger.

I think the contents page is a hidden place, and you should make it a button on the top or put it in a more obvious place!!!!
from amy 7R

Amy,
That is a brilliant idea! We should have that in place by next week.
Thanks again! :-)

you should give us more choice of the page themes and colours mabey a pink one!!!cool

I will see if I can find a pink "theme" (and a green one, since we've had a request for that too) that will work with our back-end software. If I can, I will install it as quickly as possible! :-)

I don't like the way that everytime you go to a different part of the website it opens a completely different tab on your computer it would be nice if you could please reduce it to one everytime and make a more obvious home button!

What browser and operating system are you using? I find that there's only one window and one tab with
  • Internet Explorer 7 and 8 on Windows XP SP 3
  • Internet Explorer 7 on Windows Vista
  • Safari on Mac OS X
I'd like to help you fix your problem, but I need more information so I can try to duplicate it firstquestion

I love the website it has a great layout - you might think this is stupid suggestion but maybe you could add and way to change the font or size or colour for the comments that you make like i'm doing now ??????

Ellie xx

Not a stupid suggestion at all! I'm not sure that our current software can handle it, though.
I'll check and ... if it's possible ... I'll add a page explaining how to do it.

I love LAtin it is awesome razz

are there any particular instructions i need to follow for this site

Not particularly! Just read, listen, and enjoy. You might want to keep track of the time you spend, too ... but other than that, just have fun with it!
